After a very heated round of “Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes” as a child, Kiayan Reuter had found her calling. Since life is all about being flexible, both physically and mentally, she knew her challenge would be bringing that lesson not only to herself but others. She is a proud lifelong learner and believes that personal growth should always be on the agenda. Growing up as a runner, Kiayan knew that training your brain is just as important as training your body. The practice of yoga is just as much about strengthening your body, as it is about learning how to be comfortable in your own mind. Handstands and backbends are impressive to watch but witnessing the calm positive energy a person exudes when sitting in sukasana is magical. Kiayan is 500 hour certified from Yoga Works Los Angeles.
After practicing for over a decade in Denver's yoga community, John started teaching at Kindness Yoga 2013. His classes deliver a recipe of equal parts: breath, alignment, community and fearlessness. With a heavy emphasis on balancing postures, his vinyasa flow is driven by the breath and supported by others in the room. He has studied with many yoga visionaries over the years and follows the path set out by Sri Dharma Mittra. But most of his teachers are the students in the room and his four kids who help him every day on the path of the middle way.
